So, this April Fool's, I decided to really pull some pranks. However, I came to this conclusion only last night, so I stuck to the simpler pranks, having limited time. Remember, the only thing you need for a good prank is the element of surprise. Mwahaha!
My first step was to take over my wonderful sister's room. She was conveniently out for the night, leaving her room completely unprotected. I went in, post it notes at the ready, and tonight, when she goes to turn down the sheets, she will be wonderfully surprised to find the bed covered in sticky notes! But I couldn't let her get off the hook with just that. So, I also took the liberty of swapping her drawers around. Poor, unsuspecting Lauren.
When I cam home from school today, I pulled one of the most beloved, classic pranks of all time, the rubber band around the sprayer on the sink. Personally, I was skeptical at first as to whether or not people would notice the bright orange rubber band around the sprayer, but my mother was blissfully unaware of the trap she stepped into. A shout of surprise and one very wet shirt later, she marched downstairs to smear water on my face. Can't say I didn't deserve that one.

"Hey, Lauren!"
"Hey, Meliss. What's up?"
"Oh, nothing much. Have you gone in your room yet?"
"Oh, no reason, I was just curious." I began to walk away, as a hint of worry entered her voice.
"What did you do"
"Oh, you know. Just made a couple changes." I began to explain to her and Richard (who lives in Peru, where there is no April Fool's Day) the story of the sprayer, which was making her more nervous by the minute. And although she laughed at my story, she also was now very worried about what I had done to her room.
"Melissa, if you did anything to my room, you have no idea what I did to my college roommates."
"Well, you may or may not end up with permanently green fingernails." I replied with a smirk, and left her to think about what surprises I had left her. The best thing is, I didn't really do a whole lot. The pranks were very harmless, but right now, it's just the mind game that matters. Clever, I know.
Lauren, if you are reading this, you are the best sister ever!
