Spring is in the air!

I love my family. They are definitely the best, funniest people in the entire world.

My brother, Brian, who is thirteen years old, is being attacked by an onslaught of hormones. He grows about an inch or two a month (I'm not joking) and everyday it seems like his voice gets a little bit deeper.

My sister, Lauren, is a senior at college, and is always singing. One of the things I love about her is that I can just hum part of a song, and she'll be singing it for the rest of the day. She's also a music and Spanish major, and has a nice high vocal range.

Now, for the story. We are all sitting at the table, and I was getting up to leave, so I started singing, "So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen goodbye!" (you know, the Sound of Music!) and she picks up, singing the next verse. My brother, however, surprises us all and starts the next verse.

"Wow, Brian, you got pretty high up there," Lauren told him. "How high can you go?"

"Pretty high." He replies.

"Ok, let's see," she says, and then hits a note. He hits it again. She goes higher. He matches it. She goes even higher. And again, he matches her note for note. Finally, she is at the end of her range, and the two of them are just sitting at the table, screeching these ridiculously high notes, the rest of us looking on in awe.

Yes, those are MY siblings.
